I am suggesting something much farther out then most people might suggest but. How about a different game to react to. The game I am suggesting would be Overwatch. Blizzard Entertainment goes above and beyond with their Overwatch Animated Shorts. They are about 5 to 10 minutes long as well.
If you decide to do this, I would reccomend either Zero Hour, or The Wastelander. Neither are timeline accurate but you don't really have to watch Overwatch lore in order to understand it.
